The seminar organized by the Friends of the New Waterfront in collaboration with the Foundation of the Museum for the Macedonian Struggle and the Modern History of Macedonia will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 18:30, in the “Alexandros Chaitoglou” Hall for Temporary Exhibitions and Events at the Museum for the Macedonian Struggle.

Program of Talks

  • Efthymia Mavridou – Undergraduate studies in European Culture and Greek Culture, and a Master’s in Public History
    “Thessaloniki: The Window of the Balkans, a City of a Thousand Identities, a Crossroads of Peoples and Dreams.”

  • Stavroula Mavrogeni – Professor, Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies, University of Macedonia; Director of KEMIT – Research Center for Macedonian History and Documentation
    “Clothing as Social Discourse: Thessaloniki, 19th–20th Century.”

The event is open to the public – free admission.
