“SITES OF MEMORY. From Pontus and Asia Minor to Macedonia’’

‘’SITES OF MEMORY. From Pontus and Asia Minor to Macedonia’’ is the name of the exhibition of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle which was inaugurated by the Deputy Head of the Metropolitan Unity of Thessaloniki, Voula Patoulidou, on Saturday 28 May 2022. The exhibition is part of IMMA’s activities for the centenary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe and the promotion of the history and culture of Pontus and Asia Minor.
The exhibition includes artworks, photographic and archival material from the collection of the Emeritus Professor of the University of Western Macedonia, Mr. Konstantinos Fotiadis, as well as works by the artists Asteris Gkekas and Maria Kompatsiari.
The exhibition was implemented with the kind sponsorship of the Thessaloniki Water Supply & Sewerage Co S.A.The event was supported by the NOEMA WINERY winery and Mrs. Kyriaki Panagiotou whom we thank warmly.
