The Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), Mr. Peter Hudson, at IMMA.

**On Wednesday, October 16, the Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), Mr. Peter Hudson, visited the Museum Foundation of the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA), accompanied by the Deputy Director of C&SEA, Mr. Django Maekelberg, the Regional Manager for Greece and the Balkans, Ms. Eleni Kakkava, the Office Administrator, Ms. Irini Stambolidi, and the Partnerships and Programmes Coordinator, British Council, Ms. Chrysoula Melidou. Mr. Peter Hudson and the CWGC representatives were welcomed by the Secretary of the Board of Directors of IMMA and Director of KEMIT, Professor Stavroula Mavrogeni, and the Director of IMMA, Ms. Athena Pavlidou. The guests were given a tour of the museum’s exhibition spaces by Dr. Konstantinos Papanikolau, Scientific Collaborator of IMMA, and expressed their enthusiasm for the multifaceted work of the Foundation.**

**Mr. Peter Hudson and Mr. Django Maekelberg were also briefed on the previous collaboration between IMMA, CWGC, and the British Council on the highly successful educational program for schools, “Educational Program: Thessaloniki Remembers – Visiting the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemeteries and War Memorials of Greece,” which was designed by Professor Stavroula Mavrogeni and implemented during the 2017-2018 school year to mark the 100th anniversary of the landing of the Allied forces of the Entente in Thessaloniki during World War I. The program was carried out in the exhibition spaces of the Macedonian Struggle Museum, the Research Center for Macedonian History and Documentation of IMMA, in school classrooms, and in the Commonwealth cemeteries of Thessaloniki.**

**During the subsequent working meeting, discussions took place regarding the activation and reconfiguration of the educational program for new groups, as well as prospects for collaboration and networking between the organizations to design new actions and educational programs for the preservation and promotion of historical memory at the Commonwealth cemeteries of Northern Greece.**
