IMMA at the International Museum Conference in Dubai!

For the first time, IMMA is participating in the world’s largest museum conference, making a dynamic contribution to the discussions that shape the future of museums internationally.

With more than 4,500 professionals from around the world, and hosted for the first time in the Middle East, the ICOM General Conference Dubai 2025, titled “The future of museums in rapidly changing communities”, is an important hub for networking, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue.

IMMA is represented at the conference by its Director, Ms. Athena Pavlidou, who is actively participating in presentations within the various sessions of the International Committees, panel discussions, networking meetings with museums and cultural organizations from around the world, and practical workshops.

IMMA’s multifaceted work and broad range of activities — its response to its social role, its adaptation to constantly shifting developments, its strategic transformation, and its progress toward becoming a dynamic, modern museum of the 21st century — were presented on Thursday, November 13, at the session of the International Committee for Regional Museums (ICR).
