ART WORKSHOP: An Easter art workshop for children aged 7-12 is organized by the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle with the title “Spring, if you don’t find it, you make it” by the Nobel Prize-winning poet Odysseus Elytis. The workshop is open at the premises of the Museum of Macedonian Struggle from April 2 to 4 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) from 10.00-14.00.
Children are introduced to the great painters and writers who were inspired by spring. The aim of the workshop is to familiarize children in an experiential way with a variety of visual art works, to experiment with different materials and techniques and to create their own works, under the guidance of students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and students of the Department of Balkan Slavic and Oriental Studies of PAMAK. The responsibility for the visual art workshops lies with Assistant Professor Stavroula Mavrogeni of the University of Macedonia.

UNIQUE EXHIBITION: The main phases of the history of Macedonia in the 19th and early 20th century, as well as the social, economic, political and military developments that decisively influenced the future of Hellenism in the region, are presented in seven rooms on the ground floor.

SHADOW THEATRE: During the school year 2017-2018, the Macedonian Struggle Museum Foundation hosts, in the Alexandros Haitoglou Hall, the exhibition entitled “Heroic Drama in the Shadow Theatre”.
