Natalia Mela (1923-2019)
Prominent sculptor and granddaughter of Pavlos Melas. She graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts and was a disciple of Kostas Dimitriadis and Michalis Tompros. She designed the outdoor bust of Pavlos Melas that temporarily adorns Tsirogianni Square in Thessaloniki.
Persephone Karampati
She was born in Thessaloniki and she studied History and Museology. Between 1993 and 2015, she worked at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle as a Research Associate of ΙΜΜΑ’s Research Centre for Macedonian History and Documentation (KEMIT). In the Struggle and dilemmas publication, the author transcribed the notebooks kept by Pavlos Melas, where he recorded the preparations for the struggle and mainly the psychological preparation of the same and the Dragoumis family.
