The Foundation of the Museum for the Macedonian Struggle and the Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA) in Thessaloniki<\/span><\/span> is once again celebrating International Museum Day (May 18) with free admission and themed guided tours, interactive educational programs for children, and the opening of the Museum\u2019s new temporary exhibition!<\/p>\n

With the theme \u201cMuseums Uniting a Divided World,\u201d<\/strong> the International Council of Museums (ICOM) highlights museums as spaces for dialogue, respect, and connection among people, cultures, and generations. This year\u2019s celebration promotes understanding, inclusion, peaceful coexistence, international cooperation, and networking, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals for reducing inequalities, promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions, as well as partnerships for achieving these goals.<\/p>\n

Within this framework, IMMA is participating in the celebration with the following activities:<\/p>\n
