The Foundation for the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle and the Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA) invites you to the presentation of the project “Digital infrastructure and actions to support the objectives of the Foundation of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia”, implemented within the framework of the NSRF and the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (EPANEK) 2014 – 2020, co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund – ERDF).<\/p>\n

In the context of the digital transformation of the sector and the promotion of accessibility, IMMA proceeded with the photography, digitization, 3D imaging and documentation of its collection and part of its rich archival material. The digitized material will soon be available to the general public, historians, researchers of the modern history of Macedonia, museologists, scholars and cultural administrators, who will be able to search and study the Museum’s collections and archival material through its new digital repository.<\/p>\n

Aiming to create a strong digital identity and presence, IMMA presents a series of cultural content enhancement applications that incorporate interactivity and interaction, actively engaging the visitor with the cultural heritage. Digital and audio tours of the permanent exhibition spaces, digital dramatised narratives, educational digital games and interactive applications will transform both physical and remote visits by young and old alike into a unique museum experience. At the same time, IMMA will offer the possibility of a 360\u00b0 virtual tour of the Museum’s spaces, as well as interaction with the most representative exhibits of the permanent collection. All digital applications will be hosted on IMMA’s newly updated website.<\/p>\n
