**With great success and the presence of hundreds of Thessaloniki residents and representatives from various city organizations, the triple exhibition of rare religious and historical relics titled: “FREEDOM, With Faith, Struggles, and Sacrifices” was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Administration Building of Thessaloniki. The exhibition was co-organized by the Ministry of the Interior (Macedonia-Thrace Sector), the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, and the General Secretariat for Communication and Information of the Presidency of the Government.**<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The exhibition includes three thematic sections. The first one is titled “SAINT DEMETRIUS, The Protector of Thessaloniki” and was co-organized by the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki and the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace. The second section is titled “MACEDONIAN STRUGGLE, BALKAN WARS 1912-1913 \u2013 When Greece Grew” and is the result of collaboration with the War Museum, the Museum Foundation of the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA), the Photography Museum “Christos Kalemkeris,” and private collectors. The third thematic section is titled “EPIC 1940-41 For Honor and Glory” and is co-organized by the General Secretariat for Communication and Information of the Presidency of the Government.<\/p>\n

IMMA participates in the exhibition with photographic and archival material from the exhibition “MACEDONIAN FIGHTERS\/\u2018SCOUTS\u2019: Scouts of the Greek Army in the Balkan Wars 1912-1913.”<\/p>\n

In his opening speech at the triple exhibition, the Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia-Thrace), Mr. Konstantinos P. Gioulekas, noted that “collective memory plays a crucial role in the course of a nation,” explaining that “in the exhibition space we have created in the historic Administration Building, we present moments and events from the glorious history of Thessaloniki.”<\/p>\n
