On Wednesday, May 21, the theatrical group Tafthismos<\/em> visited the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. Tafthismos<\/em> is the first amateur theatrical group composed mainly of minors and adults on the autism spectrum. It was founded by Paraskevi Salavgia, creator of the documentary \u201cOne World, Two Sides.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Participants had the opportunity to experience the museum\u2019s permanent exhibition in a theatrical and interactive way, guided by IMMA\u2019s Head of Educational Programs, Katerina Tzavara, and historian-researcher Vangelis Kansizoglou, under the coordination of IMMA\u2019s Director, Athina Pavlidou. Emphasizing specially designed exhibits and visual materials tailored to the group\u2019s needs, Tafthismos<\/em> members dramatized scenes from the everyday lives of the key figures of the Macedonian Struggle, enriching the historical narrative with their own experiential insights and knowledge.<\/p>\n

The visit concluded with a short workshop held at IMMA\u2019s temporary exhibition \u201cWomen: The Power of Creation,\u201d<\/em> where the participants amazed everyone with their drawing skills, keen observations, and insightful comments!<\/p>\n

We sincerely thank all the members and directors of the group\u2014Anna Panagiotidou, Paraskevi, and Ilianna Salavgia\u2014for the excellent collaboration. This mutual exchange of trust allowed us to share in the moving experience of a powerful moment of emotional empowerment for everyone at IMMA\u2014a space of history and culture that is actively becoming a bridge of inclusion and cooperation, open to society and responsive to the need for education and recreation across all ages.<\/p>\n
