IMMA at the 21st Thessaloniki International Book Fair 2025!

The Foundation of the Museum for the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA) participated, as it does every year, in this year’s 21st Thessaloniki International Book Fair, organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture (ELIVIP), with Italy as the guest of honor.

IMMA presented its publishing and educational initiatives for the 2024–2025 academic year through meetings and presentations at Pavilion 14. During the Fair, a screen displayed:
a) the new website featuring digitized collections and IMMA’s digital, interactive applications,
b) the inclusive action titled “A Multilingual Story at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle”, aimed at deaf/hard-of-hearing and hearing primary school children, in collaboration with KENG and the company Inclusive Lines,
c) a video showcasing the literary and artistic creations of children who participated in the innovative Reading and Creative Writing Workshops that have been running at IMMA for the past three years.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn about all the Foundation’s publications, including its high-quality themed calendars, albums, children’s books, as well as educational programs designed for all school levels. They were also informed about the temporary exhibitions accompanied by creative workshops for the whole family.

Additionally, IMMA took part in the Book Fair’s new publications events with the presentation of the volume “Macedonia in the Hellenic Parliament, 1897–1989”, edited by Vasilis K. Gounaris and Ioannis D. Stefanidis. This co-edition with the Foundation of the Hellenic Parliament for Parliamentarism and Democracy was presented on Saturday, May 10th, at Pavilion 12 in the Logos hall.
